We’ve got readers asking us whether they can buy such a wall mount and use it for a bigger TV, since it has a VESA compatible mounting system, therefore the screen size shouldn’t have anything to do with the distance between the holes on the back panel of the TV set.

Well, things are not quite that simple, because a bigger screen size means a bigger weight, therefore a higher strain on the wall mount parts, which have to resist that. Wall mounts are dimensioned starting from resistance considerations, therefore if they are subject to a force bigger than the one they can face, they’d collapse and you’ll end up with your beautiful and pricey flat panel TV, be it LCD or plasma, laying on the floor in many pieces. This is why you need to follow the instructions on the box and buy a mount that matches your TV weight.

The mount features a virtual axis tilt adjustment and it also allows the TV set to swivel and roll. It is a universal mount, which means it theoretically should fit any type of mounting system. The brackets offer a very good flexibility, which recommends this product as an excellent choice and a very good value for money. Beware, if you want to install it on a brick wall, as the installation kit includes only the lag bolts for stud mounting.
